It's acceptable in your own home-not anywhere in public.

It's OK when watching tv or mowing the yard, not when you have to be in conversation.

My personal preference is not to chew gum. I think it's rude. I'm also a middle school teacher 10 months of the year, so.....

Agreed. I chew gum when alone in my offce (keeps me from snacking). But I don't do it in public or when clients are around.

I do not chew gum at all, I just do not like it. I'd definitely not recommend to have a gum in your month during a listing appointment.

In your car, alone... For real most people dont care, but the manners police , may cite you,. 

We're free agents and chew whenever want.  It's appropriate when we say it's appropriate.

I think gum is fine when you're alone. When with other people, I personally think it looks unprofessional.

It is best not to use gum when in the presence of others in business settings.

When you are by yourself it is fine. There have been people whom in meetings that keep the "smack" going and could compete with a cow chewing its cud!

There is no time or place for it.
