I usually read novels for personal enjoyment rather than books for motivation. I do not need books for motivation.

I read to relax. I used to read a lot of books about business and marketing but now prefer to read for enjoyment.

The only kind of books I read are once that can help me in business or life. Books like: Personal MBA, The Sell, The 21 Laws of Leadership etc. No time to read fiction books here, infact I can't read them.

It hard for me to believe that books don't motivate you. Reading about Buddhism spurs spiritual growth. reading about Steve Jobs inspires your entrepreneurial spirit, reading about how Lincoln used his team of rivals to build consensus and get robust arguments that led to important decisions helps my team leadership, and books like the Tolkien trilogy has always excited my imagination.

Mystical, spiritual, ancient writings, good stories, biographies, anything that is well presented and going somewhere...Romance, fantasy and heavy sci-fi has something every once in a while but today is too far-out. I also read 3 newspapers a day and one mag per week called "the week"
