Evelyn, it is becoming more and more frequent to hear these stories. 3 Real Estate Agents have been attacked according to our AZ news in the Last 4 months in Phoenix, AZ. Safety tips are critical to abide by at all times. I'm glad to hear the Agent made it outside. I've experienced close call to this, but I always go with my gut feeling, if I get a wierd feeling initially, I stay distant and pay attention.

Thankfully I haven't had any close calls. I hope I never do, but you never know. Today my board sent out an email about a registered sex offender that is calling agents to show him homes. One agent in the county to the north of me became suspicious of his motives. Now an alert has been sent out.

Nope. I don't meet strangers at properties. I only work with people I know. It saddens me that agents are too trusting and allow their selves to be vulnerable and susceptible to attacks and harm ... or even death.

No close calls for me, thankfully. Even though I live on Kauai where violent crime is relatively rare I followed the safety recommendations for agents. It's rare for me to be alone with buyers in a house unless I know them well. If I can't have a buddy with me I take precautions. For example I have my phone in hand with the RealAlert app open and let them precede me so I'm always much closer to the exit.
