No I don't. Actually I was discouraged by my family from getting into the business. 

No, although many many years ago my mother and my ex had a $100 bet they could pass the real estate exam without taking a course.  They both passed.  Laws changed a few years later requiring the course.

Captain Wayne - Nope, I am the only one. I think a lot of my family are or were teachers, but my immediate family have all different jobs.

My dad was a real estate broker for many years. Then he got his teaching credential became a teacher and then a principal. I must say after graduating from college, I became a teacher... I hated it and got into sales. Now I am in the real estate industry as a reverse mortgage loan originator.

No, however I found a couple of my cousins have since become agents.

Nope, my mom is a retired accountant, my dad worked for the state department of transporation.  My daughter is going to be a doctor. I just wasn't a work inside all day kind of person.

I think my grandmother on mother side was the only agent in the family before me. She worked mostly around Falls Church, Vienna VA area, but would sometimes go farther to Arlington, and out to Loudoun county VA

No, I don't. Growing up behind the "Iron Curtain", I didn't even know anyone who owned a home.

However, I am raising 2 REALTOR Princesses and have high hopes that one or both of them will follow in my footsteps (if not, that would be perfectly fine, too... I'll wait for the grandkids).

Yes, three generations, we have had 3 offices, 3 Brokers, 5 sales associates, 2 insurance agents, and one banker. Only two associates and a Broker remain.

My dad is a 50 year Realtor and has seen it all. He did not want me to get into it full time saying it's a very tough business and only a few do well.

He's changed his tune quite a bit.

No; however my grand daughter has expressed an interest in getting her license.  I hope she does.

Nobody in my family was a real estate agentand didn't know any growing up. Funny how we end up where we are.
