We are here for networking and learning. I never paid much attention to points. However a long, long time ago, I did try to accumulate as many points as possible. That is due to my competitive nature. I met a member at one of the AR meetup and she had accumulated over 400k points in one year...yep, that is crazy. However, she also mentioned that members with over 500k don't have to pay monthly dues. I bet that got your interest...

No.  I don't even know what these points are for or how they benefit anybody.

One thing that irritates me about the AR point system?  It seems to encourage people to reply in the Q and A section.   Even when they have absolutely nothing to add to the subject, some people seem to drop a comment just to get points.

Don't feel bad Ed, those points are a badge of involvement, all hard earned and they will pay off in knowledge, networks, and new clients.

wow..that's one way to say it, Ed! No, but really, the points are not my interest, will not effect me none. Selling my Homes, being Successful, and making others happy is what is important to me. Have a great day, and thank you for the 10 points, Ed....(just kidding about the 10 points...lol)

Sure. And here's a few more for you and me too.

The secret is yes you can be while providing a quality blog every day, learn new things by reading other blogs and leaving comments on each to interact, let them know you were there or just say hello. The more active equals more points which also means the more active the more potential new clients you will reach. Points gave me the drive to rise to #1 in NH and the points difference between me and #2 lets me know how well i am doing. 

I think the points make it fun, but mainly here for more business and content.

No. It's fun but not my main goal.

Age old debate. Points don't pay my children's tuition. I post for business and it has worked. Focus on your market content.
