This is like the sound off.  I'm originally from a little tiny town (well not even a town) outside North Bay, Ontario in Canada called Nipissing.  I was born the only child of Hector and Barbara Piper.  I couldn't wait to leave home!!  I wanted an education and I wanted to travel and I got both.  I went to University at Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo, Ontario and upon graduating I went overseas and went to University of Manchester in England and travelled Europe and the Middle East, returned to Waterloo for a while until I was working for Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty in Kitchener, Ontario when love bit me and I moved to the Baltimore area in 1997.  I've been here every since!!  

I am an Army Brat so I am really from no where- I was born at Fort Benning GA (or Columbus GA since ironically the Office of Personnel Management did not accept Ft Benning as a place to be born!) - my dad retired from the Army when I was going into middle school and we eventually ended up in DC when he became a professor at Catholic University.  I went to high school here in Dc, went away to college and came back from law school. After that I never left - Now I live in Bethesda - just over the DC line, but I still think of myself as a DC girl and I love the DC market. 

I am originally from western PA and now living in South Florida. We ended up here because my husband took a job here. Before that we were in Virginia, California (twice) Oklahoma, Texas (two different cities), South Dakota while hubby was in the Air Force! And all this moving has taught me that the grass is not greener on the other side! 

Born and raised in Toronto Canada. I will never leave.

Originally from Brooklyn NY worked at American Banknote printed stocks, bonds, and foreign banknotes and securities – moved to Washington DC area in 1980’s printed money at Bureau of Engraving and Printing and served on the executive board of Union for 5 years.  Moved to Atlanta in 1992 after disability retirement.  Worked in real estate here until 2010 – then back to Wash DC in real estate MD & VA and then back again to Atlanta. Our business is mostly Internet based so it does not matter where we live.  It’s the gypsy in me!

I am from Alabama.  Moved to Albuquerque NM in 2003.  Met John online and moved to be with him.... The rest is history.

Eatonton, GA and Eatonton GA.  I was born here as was my father and his father and his father.  I have 7 generations buried locally.  My family has been in this area since before America was a country. Both my mom and dad's family had direct ancestors that fought in the revolutionary war. 

I'm married to a nomad, but I settled him down.  He's been here for 15 years and prior to that never lived anywhere longer than 4 years. 

I am from right here in Silicon Valley, California.  I'm still here because I never left.

I'm originally from Westchester County, NY (right outside NYC) and I'm now back here again.

But, in between, I was in college in NH, then DC for 2 yrs, then Chicago for B-school (2 yrs), then Cincinnati working at P&G for 5 yrs, then back to this area...but technically in Stamford, CT (one county over) for 3 yrs.

I am an OKIE from Tulsa... Then off to college in Tucson Arizona...25 years In San Francisco and now in New Hampshire.  Loved SF..Moved when husband was transfered to NH....  Left my heart in SF. 

I was born and raised in Kingston, ON. Canada.  Moved to Montreal, Quebec for 5 years, then on to Kihei, Maui which I loved LOVED!  Met my husband on a trip to Ireland and lived 10 years in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Now we're back in Kingston, ON again!  Who says you can't go home again?

First I was a California girl, growing up in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles then college at UC San Diego then up to the SF Bay Area for work (consulting and life coach). Moved to Kauai in 2004 because it was my dream and am living here happily-ever-after. 

If "from" means where did I grow up, that was the rural midwest.  But I have been in Arizona for 40 years.  Career brought me here, but we love it and will spend the rest of our days in sunny Arizona.  We enjoy both the desert and the mountains.  That is why my real estate identifier is "Your Valley to Mountain Connection."

I was born in Orlando Fl. and moved with my family to Duluth, Ga when I was 10 and I am still in Ga.  I live 12 miles from the home I grew up in.

I am from a smaller town in Eastern Washington. I miss that side of the mountains very much. I am settled here with family and have lots of friends although it's my intention to move that way in about 10 years.

I've lived in Lebanon, PA in SouthCentral Pennsylvania my whole life (65+ years) except for the first 6 weeks of my existence (born in Sunbury, PA).

I am from Fresno, California. I have never left. I am still here. I have had opportunity to leave many times, but we have such an amazing church with a great Christian school. Therefore, we have decided to stay for a while longer in the pit, I mean valley, of California. :)

Hi Bob- I was born and raised in Houston, TX and lived there until I was 37 when Larry and I moved to Delray Beach for his work. (Homebuilding) We moved back to Houston for a short time, then back to Florida where we bought the home next door to where we used to live, then to Leesburg VA always for work.  During some of that time, we commuted between Orlando and Delray, also because of work.  

We chose Delray Beach for our retirement for the weather and we knew that we would could always get people to visit us in Florida. 

I was born/raised in Manhattan, IL .. as was my wife.  I was the city kid .. she the farm kid.  Both of our families have been in this area for generations.

When Marilyn and I married, we moved to another small town within the Lincoln-Way Area .. Mokena.  We lived there (2 different homes) and raised our 2 boys there.  When they had graduated and had gone out on their own, we downsized to a new home in Lockport (just miles away) ... which is where we have lived for 13 years now.  I've served Chicagoland/IL homeowners and homebuyers my entire business life ... almost 38 years ...

I'm from Indiana, I have lived all over the United States. Settled on a small farm in Bonifay Florida to be closer to our kids.

I am originally from Massachusetts(Fall River) and currently I reside in Florida.  I have been here for over a decade.  Prior to my move here I lived in Rhode Island, California and Wisconsin.  I think I am settled but who knows?  Great question!

I'm originally from Franklin MA and I've left the town only to attend College.... returned to teach here and now real estate.... my father (passed away now) was born and raised in Franklin and my grandparents came from Armenia and settled in Franklin MA.... yup, I have strong roots here...

Born and Raised in North Alabama, then on to the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.  Lived in Springfield, Missouri for a year and from there, I lived and worked in Yellowstone Nat'l Park in the summers and Everglades Nat'l Park in the winters for a few years.  Met my husband, settled down in Naples, Florida, had a baby and returned home to the Crystal Coast in 2005.... Now I think I am HOME!

I was born in Washington DC, first lived in Cherrydale VA, then Vienna VA in Fairfax county, then Sterling VA in Loudoun county, then Lovettsville VA n Loudoun county.

I am from Port Arthur TX about 100 miles east of Houston.  Most of my adult life I lived in the Houston area. I moved to Dallas in 2007 to get married.  She would not leave Dallas.

Good morning Bob. As you know, I was not born in this country, came here at 5. My parents purchased a dairy farm, which I still own, so it is all about living in a rural area for us. We built a home about 20 minutes away.

i am originally from South Florida moved to Middle TN and then to Clarksville where I met my husband. He is from here.

I am from Michigan and I moved to Arizona to get away from two things: My parents, and the bad crowd I had surrounded myself with. By the way, most of that bad crowd is still in the same area doing the same things living the same life. I knew that would happen to me if I didn't get out of there. 

Born in LA...moved to Houston, Dallas, Costa Mesa, San Francisco and Chicago...all before I was 5. Then we moved to Mission Viejo, CA. Before buying my home here, I went to college in Illinios, lived in Laguna Beach, Santa Barbara and Valley Forge, PA. 

So there you go...dad was in sales back when that meant you moved a lot. 

My roots are right here. My great-grandparents homesteaded just a few miles from where I live now - back in 1891. I left for college, but stayed in Idaho. Also spent one winter in Arizona after our house burned in 1985, but this is home and probably always will be. 

I am a diplomat brat(if there is such a thing). I have lived in many countries including Africa. Reared in New York (UN), studied in mid-west.

Came to California for jobs. While working on PC bios it was easy to freeze the development so David Bradley came up with  Ctrl+Alt+Delete

The rest is history.

I call Silicon Valley my home lived in the same (rural then) home over 30+ years.

I'm from Detroit, MI and I came to Birmingham, AL in 1982 on vacation,  it's turned out to be a 33 year vacation.

I was born and raised in Florida.  Spent twenty years in the Navy and came back as health-care administrator in 1996.  As for real estate...another story!

Born in Fort Hood, Texas but reside in Cedar Hill, Texas right outside of Dalllas. I am currently building my small business here.

Saul Centre, Minnesota.  WE moved a lot following work for my dad.  In between moving we did some farming also.

I am where ai am right now because a series of life events.

Montreal, then NH (where I learned to speak English just at the cusp of age such that I don't have a French accent); back to Montreal...because, c'mon it's a great town.  Work took me to Boston, where I stayed for 10 years, fell in love with the place (hope that's where they leave my ashes), until work again made me relocate to DC.  Check back in 15-20, still expecting to be here, though...yes, Boston would be so neat.

I'm originally from Buffalo. Moved LOTS to VA, PA, WV, PA (again for the 3rd time) and then put my sights on moving West Young Girl. 

At the age of 23, knowing only one person, I moved to Oregon with no job and no place to live. Never looked back!
