The enjoyment and personal "fulfillment " that I received from posting got lost when AR started awarding points for listings. I saw people who rose from 100,000 points to 500,000 points overnight by posting listings over and over again. IMO, points should not be given for listings.
I also saw many people become Ambassadors who are not leaders in the industry. This speaks negatively on AR and how commercial the site has become. You have people "front and center" whose posts are being featured with multiple spelling and grammatical errors, IP infringements, plagiarized copy and oftentimes non-real estate blabber. All in all, I just stick to what I do and my small group of followers and those whom I follow. Should AR ever revert to its old self, I'll probably come back.

business has been fabulous and I find I'm trying to catch up on comments at the end of the day every night.

Decrease my time on AR, maybe I should try that, right now my days are very long and more sleep would be nice.

I just recently returned after a 1 yr hiatus from the social part of ActiveRain. Just burned out.

Way too busy. Tons of appts and estimates for customers (as everyone keeps finding us online). Also, shifting towards other marketing activities. More focus on my blog and selectively using other social media. And, spending more time focusing on past customers and realtors i.e. networking.

I am back on it everyday, but in the 18 month I was gone I built a consulting business and learned everything there is to learn about online lead capture and generation. Plus expanded my real estate teams to two other states. So simple answer working and learning!

I have not yet reduced my ActiveRain activity but am spending more time with Facebook groups that provide a much larger and more responsive audience.

the changes were a "distraction" but the frequency has not changed for me.....I have a routine and I put an honest effort into staying on track....
