Pretty close to never.  My marketing works very well.  Many call us...often more than we can handle.  We get referrals, past customer, Angie's list customers and tons from our website. The leads are much stronger when they proactively call you rather than vice versa.

That being said, my assistant does call our past customers at the 3 month mark to make sure they are happy and every once in a while I will call realtors and past customers (esp when it's colder and I'm slower).

Since I am have in real estate a little over a year, I still do make calls to prospect for business. I make approx. 40 calls and I am hoping for 1 listing appt.

Wow 20? I've not set a goal that high yet, but good for you-share the secret to accomplishing that!

My goal is 10 calls to my database, checking to see how they are and then my "oh by the way" reminder. I hit that 2-3 days per week. Still shooting for 5 days per week though, as referrals increase the more I stay in touch. Referrals can not be left to assumptions & auto-pilot...I'm just not that famous yet.

As a matter of fact our team is meeting this afternoon at 4:00 to make calls. We are trying this out as this day and time has been found to be the best time to reach people. We are having a contest for best and worst call.
