All the above. When you first walk into a home you are showing, do you not look, listen, and smell, and all that after you have touched the doorknob? Did the lock work correctly and the door not open properly?  Etc. Etc. Etc.

Jack - I am very much a visual person. If I can see it, I can understand it.

I don't necessarily need to touch it, and can't figure anything out if I just hear it.

Learning how to effectively read body language is one of the most important tools you can have as a real estate agent. How is your client positioned as they are sitting across the table from you? Are they sitting back in their seat with their arms crossed or are they leaning forward, engaged in what you are saying? Ever look at peoples feet? If not, you should. Wherever someone's foot is pointing indicates their direct interest at that point and time. Listen to your clients voice. Is it monotone with no expression or is it booming with variants of tone and volume? These are all things to try to keep in mind as you are making conversation with them.

Maybe I should be tested although all of the senses should come into focus where livelihood is concerned. I cannot put my finger on only one Jack.
