My car has bluetooth built in so no worries there.  I've also used the speakerphone aspect for years now.  When I need to have a private conversation, I was gifted an old fashioned land line receiver for my iphone which I find pretty cute :)

Any devices at that high frequency will heat one's brain.  It is inversely proportional to the distance Sq.  In otherwords, a baby with thin skull wall will heat up brain more and faser than adults who have thicker skull bone.  Bottom line is after some prolonged studies government will correlate with specific units with higher power.  The same applies to high power router at public places.  I turn off all wireless devices only when needed. Headset is always a better choice. EMI is more dangerous than you think.

I make sure I dont keep my phone in my pocket when I can avoid it, sleep with it a bit away from me, and use speaker/bluetooth as much as I can.  It doesn't worry me but I'd rather be safe than sorry down the line.

I've heard that the headsets (Bluetooth type) have radiation as well.  I try to use a corded analog headset with mike.

I smoked for 40 years, all our food is GMO injected, I breathe poluted air at times, there is formeldahyde in my carpeting, the plastic dishes I microwave are full of chemicals, I sit on crowded airplanes, I have acrylic nails and colored hair, I smear chemicals on my face to prevent wrinkles...no the cell phone radiation does not bother me.

I have just started researching this. Great topic! I am considering going the headset route. I cannot even imagine the past effects of the large cell phones which were so much more powerful than the cell phones of today. 

I really don't give it much thought.  Maybe I should.  Headset no.
