I can't recall the last time I presented an offer in person. Thankful for today's technology. I presented an offer last night at 11:48 that would not have happen in person.

In our particular niche market (vacation homes), it is not all that uncommon to deliver an offer in person. A large percentage of our sellers are seniors, most of whom do not use or trust electronic signatures. The personal touch works best with most of our sellers.

Hi Lottie -- Last year, I presented(representing buyers) and was presented with(representing sellers) offers. It is far too rare and I do miss it. There are many times when we don't even meet the other agent during the transaction.

Now that was a good question, then and even NOW!
I do not recollect that, Lottie.

Lottie, it probably has been about three months ago. We met and went over the offer in person as that best fit the style and needs of the individual.

Funny you should ask ! I just over night mailed a listing agreement to Florida for a seller ... because he was unfamiliar with electronic signatures. I didnt mind of course...
I did have an issue this week that kinda bothered me, prob gonna blog about it too! I knew an agent had been to one of my lisitngs 3x with a "serious buyer " ... I had let her know another agent also was implying interest.. a few days later WITH NO CALL TEXT ETC --no notice of any kind, she emailed me an offer !!
I did not see it until 6-7 hours later as I was out with buyers ... I would never do that ! It has been over 24 hrs I ve had the offer and STILL NOTHING FROM HER , not even a text confirming I received it. The seller isnt interested , I will reply later today but not in a rush !!!!

If you mean when was the last time I presented an offer in person from my buyer to the seller (where I'm not the listing agent), I'd say sometime in the 1990's. If you mean when was the last time I presented an offer in person that came in on my listing, then I'd say probably a few years ago. With the exception of a an occasional elderly client who is not too tech savvy (or prefers things be done the old-fashioned way), most of my buyers/sellers prefer offers be emailed.

Just recently! When worked with an older woman. She is not comfortable with docusign and is a bit old fashioned - prefering the personal touch. The current generation of seniors is ot always comfortable with today's technology.

I try to present in person as much as possible. But in this market, when seller is receiving dozens of offers, it's not always even viewed as a positive thing. I've had agents tell me they don't want to overwhelm the sellers. On the other hand, I always welcome in person presentations for my listings.

Can't remember when the last time was that I presented a contract in person- don't even meet with the buyer usually when signing the offer which I actually think is a bad habit for our industry- and potentially dangerous - I think buyers frequently sign the offer without understanding the full content of the offer

Just two weeks ago.
Seller was non-occupant owner, and lodged at local hotel. Unless you have tried to real a contract on a cell phone, you won't know why heading to the hotel was the best solution.

Lottie... I truly can't remember when I last presented in person. I typically receive an emailed offer, forward to clients, and then we speak by phone.

Lottie - I can't even remember the last time I delivered a paper copy of an offer in person. However, I always call the other agent and ask them to check their email while I'm still on the phone with them.
