I order a 1000 at a time but got ideas a couple of weeks ago about using calls to action on the back side. I will be trying that and ordering different sets for different uses.

YOu can order 500 cards and wait last min order another 500 for half price same postage.  I switched to hand out a big postcard with recipe on one side and mine on other.  They tend to hold on to my receipe longer....

So order less, order more often and change design. Interesting.

While business cards are probably the cheapest advertising we'll ever do, I'm not sure they're really that beneficial. Instead I have created myself as a contact in my phone with my photo. When someone asks for a business card, I simply say I don't have one but I'd be happy to send them my contact info. They give me their name and phone number and I text them my info. This way, they not only get my contact info, I get theirs.

I update business cards when info changes.  I use VistaPrint for business cards and rubber stamps.  I am also a VistaPrint affiliate.  I have a storefront page on my website.  When customers place orders, they get a discount, and I earn referral fees.  The referral fees pay for my business cards.  It's an automated business. 

You string your business cards together and throw them out in large crowds?  I buy about 1000 every year and change the photo.

I generally order a few thousand at a time, they last a while.

I usually keep it same - for branding purpose and people do remember seeing my business card.

Frank - I have not typically found business cards a useful way to get business, but just the other day someone asked me for some so they could hand out to people. Well, I recently changed brokers because my old broker decided to close down her business. Guess I better go buy some business cards, or maybe I will use Tammie White's technique.

Business cards haven't really done much for me in this career or my previous career in insurance. I give them out, but the ones I end up doing business with, we exchange numbers and go from there. 

I ordered way too many initially. I like the basic design but will most likely do something different this time.

Consistancy!  I will update my photo and other information as needed but the basic card design and colors stay the same.

You should be ordering more cards and using all of them. The most important thing to update is your photograph.

Not changed much from the design I had for at least 10 years.  Don't see a need.  Mine very plain and simple and it works.

I can't remember the last time I changed my basic design. I like my branding to stay consistent.

Every year or so unless my information changes.

I order new cards if my information is changed. I do like more exclusive design in hope, people keep them or share my info with a friend.

I look at them every year or couple of years and if I think it needs an update, it gets an update.

I have changed my card design four times in the last seven years. And that includes the picture. The latest design was done for me by the girl at the print shop. She took it upon herself to redesign my card and she did a fabulous job. I'm keeping this one for a while. 

I order 1000 at a time, so only order about once a year.

I kept the first one for 3 years and just changed it this year.

Hi Frank --- I have a basic design from Merrill May that I have had for a number of years.  No photo.   I think the last order was for 3000 and I usually buy when they are having a special promotion.   Probably twice a year.
