I'm going to dispute that Outside Blogs have no value. We have two, one that replicates our main AR posts and another that is dedicated to patio homes. That 2nd one for the niche gets good SEO and drives traffic for us. AR may not put any effort into them and they may look like a hot mess, but apparently the consumers don't care. I haven't looked at my categories much, but I'd think editing the original post SHOULD carry over to the Outside Blog. However, I don't think there's any batch recategorization like you can do on WP.

Begs the point to build your "outside blogs" and tend those fires Dick so no matter what happens here at Emerald City, you have your blogging eggs in safe and sound baskets. Where you can control the direction the SEO wind blows and meet objectives. Never looking back over your shoulder groaning oh no. Or down at the two feet that have bullet holes in them.

If you blog a lot, this could happen. The categories are not well defined as such. So there may be blog can overlap couple different categories, its OK to post them in both

Is it possible that it is a wordpress blog? I believe you can make bulk changes in there if that is who you are using.

Right, you can't change them. actually, you can't even change them on here.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. It has virtually no SEO benefit and virtually no customers will ever use this functionality nor even realize it's there.

I have heard Noah Seidenberg say once it is posted you cannot make corrections even if it is something as simple as a typo or misspelling. Then I wondered, what if you went into the original blog post and disabled the outside blog box and updated the post. Then you came back into that post and made your corrections, category tags, etc. and reposted into your outside blog, would the corrections hold? Just wondering.

I have heard on several occasions that the outside blog has been discontinued, whatever that means. We have never ventured that way, and when I have looked at the outside blogs of various people, it looked out of whack!
