This is the biggest flaw with the new feed. It is posting whatever the numbers say is worthy. I am tired of seeing market reports over and over.

The score is coming from other social media and not just AR. The blogger is posting on their on website and spreading across social media. They could even be hitting their own site multiple times to increase the score. The algorithms are picking it up. But never fear it won't be up more than 5 minutes or so. The posts are rolling off fast including the good posts. Hopefully they will change this back. I don't think it has made anybody happy.

Matt Holder I think we'd all like to know why AR continues to try to fix something that ain't broke?

Right.  It's an automatic algo done by a robot with no human screening.  I am not liking this at all.  But, I'm thrilled about the recent post they put up where they are going to change things.

Personally, I think the high traffic ones should all be on a separate page.  Most of them seem to be very low interest and relevance to 99% of us.

Now we are on the same playing level as Zillow Zestimates...

Roger - I couldn't agree more! I've got an average of 100-200 people clicking and reading my blog posts, and yet comments are very very low same thing 4 people. I'm not sure how to fix this and if I knew how, I would be sharing with you!

Debbie - I get tired of seeing market reports too. They are boring. Its our content we actually write and contribute that makes the rain what its mean't to be.

I just skip the homepage and jump right into the questions or who I am following.    I'm trying to stay positive on the changes but its getting difficult.

I saw that, too, Roger.  And, I was laughing my 4$$ off.  I think they might have retuned their algorithms now.  But, you might recall what I think of the algorithms anyway.  LOL!

The new changes make me wonder what else we are in store for. I'm not looking forward to this. I think it's some way to help make trulia look better in the search engines and I have an issue with that.

Thanks Roger D. Mucci & Tammy Lankford. While some of you on this thread liked the old version of the home page, there are many others who did not like it for many reasons. First of which being the content was stale and second being the same people showed up time and time again - so there was no variety.

We're aiming to help strike a balance between the highly curated content of the previous home page with a greater ability to discover new blogs, new questions, and new people. In doing so, we hope to grow the community and make the community more vibrant. We want to enable richer conversations between members so that everyone can learn from each other and get information they need to become more effective and successful agents.

I thought the same thing yesterday, makes the platform look a bit silly.    If 4 comments is high traffic, why would anyone be on here?

I am pleased I am not the only one confused, thanks Roger for putting it out there.

I have been looking for good blogs to read and there are so many local reports.  Unless it has to do with my areas I don't care about seeing them. I love the great informative posts that active rainers are known for.   I hope they fix this soon.

Roger -- I think you are just as confused as many of us are!

I do not like the new system either.

It's so annoying that they feel the need to keep changing, and keep making excuses they will fix the problem...Don't make the changes then if you don't have it right!

Roger D. Mucci - Every time I go into AR, there are major changes. I just don't have the time to figure all this out, so I keep going to my trusty "followers", like you, and do my same old stuff. Hope AR doesn't get changed to a point where we can't talk meaningfully to each other any more like we have been.

It reminds me of people that post silly questions on Facebook just trying to get comments so that their exposure rate goes up.  I know one guy that loves to post things like "what is your favorite.... (color, cat, dog, car) and people post their answer which ends up on their feeds giving exposure to the person that asked the question, what how will that ever help him sell a house?  Kind of like the people here that obviously reply to every single post one at a time so they can get their 25 points per reply.

I don't even visit that page any more. It just does not have any sense. I hope, they will add filters. It would be even better if we can customize what we want to see ( save in settings).

I saw a blog with no comments but with 1.1k likes( high traffic?). Seems, some members know how to game a system and get a lot of views and likes. Maybe they will write a blog post about it and teach us?

It doesn't make much sense though it sounds like AR is working on it.

Activerain has gone algorithms.  I'm glad I'm not the only one hating this.  They say change is inevitable and change is good.  I'd argue this is the worst change I've seen to this site.

I agree Roger, it is a strange new way.  They are doing their best, and not coming up the way it was intended, I think...Robots are not that smart.  A

That doesn't even make sense does it Roger? I have to agree with you.  Sounds like a bug needs to be fixed.

Lots of things here dont make sense to me, best to just keep doing my thing and not worry about how they are doing things.
