Wow! Great I stopped by and learned something new about some more programs.
Of course, MailChimp I have is free for up to 2000 contacts - and I do use my ReferralMake from Buffini and company - free for members and $49 for others - one of the best contact management system I have seen.

I have used Constant Contact and have been happy with the result, ease of use and cost. The cost for this (as for virtually all programs) depends on # of contacts. I believe it was around $15/month for 500 or fewer contacts + $5/month if you want to add more than 5 photos. Then, it goes up maybe another $15/month for 500 to maybe 1000 contacts.
You can save money by buying for a whole year or for 6 months, so the actual cost is low.
The return is high on all of these, so well worth the small amt of money.
Also, I have copied some of my newsletters on here, so you can look at my past posts to see what they look like. I set up a template in there and use the same one again & again. I customized the colors to work w/ my branding.
I generally do 3 months at a time (and schedule them). I find this to be a good way to be efficient w/ my work.

David Barr, I agree there are some good tools but don't like the fact that my database is available for BH to market to. I read that in the small print. Thus I am searching for more options.

James Brockway, I think I have heard of that one or seen agents in my area use it. I will really start to notice the source now.

Some of these programs I have never heard of. Happy Grasshopper I have and MailChimp. Vertical Response and Constant Contact are totally new to me. Annette Lawrence you have intrigued me with all the possibilities of Sendblaster. I will be doing some research into these.

I have the option to do blasts with my website/220 marketing, but I honestly have never used that option as I prefer to send out personalized emails. Although, I do have them send a monthly newsletter to my entire database.

I have used happy grasshopper, but it got too expensive. I like the automation part of it, but was it really bringing me business???

SendBlaster is free and allows you to size the mailing blocks to keep under your ISP's sniffer. For instance if RR sees blocks with greater than 50 addresses, RR will assume to be spam and won't pass it forward.
And it works great with a CSV file and will do all the mail merge stuff we like.
It has been my practice to NOT use my primary or an email address provided by my ISP for blasting purposes.

Debbie,
I use emailflyers.net and I like them. They charge $49 and that covers all Realtors in a specific county.
