Debbie Gartner -- I do have a lot of help on my Wordpress website. DMS is a drag and drop interface. It provides much greater flexibility in design than do other themes. I see two sides to the issue:
- SEO for getting viewers to the website
- Beautiful design and content for keeping them there
I have lately been spending a lot of time examining websites that work well to determine what they are doing and adapting the ideas I find.

I am not familiar w/ Pageline/DMS. But, if you are using wordpress, why not just use a WP theme? Also, I would recommend paying someone who knows wordpress and how to set up/optimize for SEO to set it up. Concentrate your time on the content/what you know. WP is very tricky to set up and I'm sure there are things you are doing (or not doing) that are interfering. My WP site kicks butt and I know a lot about SEO (for a layman), but I would never dream of trying to put together my site on my own.
