I do both, wish Happy Birthday on Facebook (if we are "friends") and send a postcard handwritten to wish them a wonderful day.
No, and I would never post anyones birth date on facebook due to so many cases of identity theft these days.
Some I do.
You do, Praful.
I do sometimes and think this is a really nice way to connect. I also send a FB birthday wish.
No Praful but that is a very good ldea. Great question
Depending on the client, I will send an actual birthday card or an e-card from Jacquie Lawson directly or to their Facebook page. I rarely call howerver unless I'm very close to that client.
I do not connect with clients on FB, unless they ask me too.......
I send a card. It is nice to follow up or receive a thanks call back.
I have an agent friend who sends dollar scratch lottery tickets with a note that says "hope you get lucky on your birthday"...or something along those lines. She always get good feedback. I think its cute and have done it a couple of times with really close clients.
Hmmm, yes and NO.
THOSE who use FACEBOOK realize you did not remember, but FACEBOOK did and reminded you....along with 7, 311 other friends.
So, I get notified the month before. At my convenience, I'm 1st with the 'You've got a birthday coming up" message.
Your Bday is in 17 days. When you are with your buds celebrating I want you to use this "......." and understand friends are forever even if they can not be forever present. Know anyone that looking to move? Well maybe not that last sentence.
Jeff Pearl, Praful Thakkar I will only acknowledge a birthday if they give me the information. Unless I personally know them, I would never ask for birthdate because identity theft issues are a huge concern. I certainly wouldn't want to alarm a potential or current client since there is no reason a listing agent needs that information.
I will try and call personally on their birthdays. Occasionally I'll send a card or email.
Unless I know my clients extremely well, I do not usually discuss their birthdays. For those I know well, I will call, send a card, email or text them Happy Birthday.
Many people I know do not use Facebook and I am not checking Facebook everyday. With all of the social networking going on, I would never to get to list homes.
I am using facebook for keeping up withy past clients, birthdays, touching base, etc. It's got a nice informal touch to it.
