Consider the following:
Many new residents to Miami are from New York City. Project your referral opportunity to NYC agents. (Use Trulia 'find an agent' if you don't have other resources)
Many folks consider Miami and find they can not afford the cost of having South Beach accessible. So they head to Sarasota. You would be well advised to directly contact real estate professionals to whom you can refer those buyers who found reality too expensive. If they elect St Pete, Tampa or Clearwater I sure you will give ME a call....right?
Lastly, stay persistently present on AR with MIAMI always associated with your name. Your goal is to make certain no AR participants need to question themselves. "Who do I know in Miami?"
You would be well advised to identify through your AR participation and profile whom your preferred client is. That would mean a suggestion of price point, type and situation. Now, if you are not in Miami but in Fort Luaderdale instead, you really need to make that clear.
I like your old saying, and Debbie Gartner has stated what would bring you a referral, and what part of South Florida are you in? Our policy in referring is to get to know someone really well, because our reputation is on the line too.
Debbie Gartner has provided some good advice. I would first consider those who are in regular contact.
Generally, when agents on here need to refer someone to an area, they will go to the people they already know well here and/or research agents for the area/county.
The best way to get referrals on here is a long term approach. Blog and participate with commenting on blog posts.
Hope you get some.
