Bob,
I would not advise it, regardless of the home's price, unless you happened to be a great photographer. I think that every home should be presented professionally and in the best of light. We have clients who are brokers with anywhere from 30 to 50 agents, and the company has in place a photographer to take pictures...They want to be represented in the best light. A

Yes, I do. I have great equipment, and have been taking photos for most of my life, so I feel comfortable with it. I tell my clients, though, if they are unsatisfied with my photographs, I can hire a professional.

Yes, I do, but I have great equipment and I've taken several classes. And there are times I get overhelmed with listings that I hire some of them out.

Most listing agents should use the services of a professional photographer. There is no excuse for poor photographs.

Yes, I often do them with my Nikon. I spend usually few hours trying to catch the light and stage. With some short sales~ making pictures can be tricky.
Yet, for a high end property 1mln+ I have a guy who does magic with his camera, light and soft-wear.

I ALWAYS use a professional photographer. Bad photos these days cost sales.
