Do you compel your clients to agree to a broker protection clause if the listing expires and what is your post-listing duration ?

I usually only do one day. I know that it is not what my broker-in-charge would like to have as protection, but I would rather have my clients see the value in working with me rather than having them obligated to do so.

Of course I do David although I wouldn't necessarily say compel. It's more of a courtesy with specific parties named and it may continue for up to 6 months.

I suppose the only recourse the seller would have to opt out of the bp clause would be an exclusive agency listing agreement, Gabe, if the buyer wasn't introduced to them during the original listing period. The variables could stack up, however. Thanks.
