From my blog yes but many times the buyer or seller didn't realize it was a blog. They just thought I was the most knowledgeable agent becasue I kept showing up.

Yes I have. My area is extremely rural so I probably don't see the leads of members in other areas, but it does work. My town has 1800 people. My county has 32 thousand people.

I also enjoy blogging. It's a creative outlet for me.

Oh yes.  I generally get about 5 appointments a week due to my blog (TheFlooringGirl.com) and other online presence including coming up on google places and AR.  My email newsletter generates additional leads, too - generally repeat customers and/or they refer us to others.  Generally, we get 1-2 jobs closed and 1-2 leads every month as a direct result from that.  (It may be a bit higher now).

Blog...yes. Not so much from mailing marketing...

Referrals from realtors and clients who read my blogs seems to be more consistent. Just the other day, I received a call from a reader who read a blog that has I wrote a year ago. Informed him the property was sold, but that I could help him find others that fit his criteria.

Not quite sure how many actual leads I've gotten from AR, however, I've received almost 150 leads from Trulia's Q/A platform and at least half of them have converted into some type of business within our myriad family of networking business in factory built housing, construction defect issues, expert witness drainage, foundation issues, etc.

I wrote a blog many years ago (back then) how much 400,000 points meant to me. At that time, I closed over $120,000 in income, directly associated to my AR blog. That was years ago. Since then, I'm sitting on over 1MM points now. Yes, I do have successes from my blog. So much so, I'm able to get my husband to do real estate full time with me, and him saying Goodbye to Corporate America.

LIZ,

I would say that our overall success comes from our presence on the net.   If I were to compare our numbers of actual $$$in the bank, I would say that the internet contributes 20 to 30%, We have been working on this diligently since 2008, and face to face works wonders.  Last week we had lunch with two people.  Between them we have 5 referrals, so far 2 have signed on, and we are meeting with a 3rd one tomorrow.    One of the parties has referred us to someone in the same position he is in, and more is on the way.  One of our internet leads we are meeting in the state she lives in, since we are going to be there for another client soon.  A

Diana Dahlberg , the best and fastest way to come alive on the AR and start your climb to success is to participate, participate, participate. FOLLOW other members and they will FOLLOW you and points will be awarded.

RE-BLOG other members posts that hit your hot button and COMMENT on their posts and you will make a friend and received 50 points. 25 for commenting 25 for the re blog. These are just a couple of examples.

Below is a point break down for just two days of my AR activity. Look how fast your points and exposure can start to add up.

The more involved you get the more points you get. The more points you get the higher your exposure will be. Also be sure to take advantage of Bob Stewart and Kerrie La Guardia free webinar series on how to blog.

They offer that at various times throughout the year. It will accelerate you to new heights faster and better than anything I've ever seen online. They will show you how linking and posting good content will enhance your Google Juice, SEO and Website presence.

There's lots of ways to be creative on AR. But the overall best way is to jump in with all fours, REACH OUT to the AR COMMUNITY, JOIN & PARTICIPATE in GROUPS, ASK & ANSWER QUESTIONS that that you have an interest and/or knowledge and experience with, FOLLOW OTHER MEMBERS that spark your interest and they will FOLLOW YOU. TAG, TAG, TAG and you will be TAGGED.

Before you know it you'll be climbing that ladder of BLOGGING SUCCESS and generating exposure to yourself and most importantly to your particular business niches and voila success is within your grasp in the BLOGISPHERE

My participation on the Active Rain and Trulia blogging platforms has generated our contingent of family owned and operated businesses a Nationwide exposure which as resulted in an appreciable amount of business and we've completly cut back on any/all other forms of advertising including Pay Per Click.

I get most of my new clients via referrals from a variety of sources. Since I'm new on AR (a few months) I am blogging but have not seen any results yet, so maybe I'm doing something wrong or need to do some things different. Any advise would be welcomed. I spend alot of time on AR daily so I'm sure I'm just missing the market reports part. Can anyone help me with how to go about doing that for my area? Is there a blog I can read that would help here?

I've generated business from Active Rain - incoming and outgoing referrals - as well as learned tons. Plus, my sellers love the fact that I blog about their properties.

Yes to both, blogs are great and they provide SEO rich content. Emails coupled with direct contact is one of our best lead sources. There has to be direct contact for it to work.

Liz Froment -- I notice that most of the answers you got citing good success have very high AR point scores. I am starting to see some success from Active Rain but it is not where I want it to be.

I believe the reason for my limited success is that I have not made many blog posts about Prescott, the core of the interest here and the center of Yavapai County.
