I remember the first time that I "dropped" somebody. And the second time, and the third. I have a come to Jesus meeting with them and explain that it not working out, they need to find an agent who can help them. If they just "love me" and expect me to keep showing, then I tell them I am going out of town for several weeks, or come up with some other excuse.
Tighten the searches.
Narrow down what they want before leaving the office and emphasize the value of your time. If you suspect that they are just shoppers then require a retainer or a showing fee per home.
Educate them - find out what they REALLY want - or don't want.
Understand their wants and needs. Go over the listings before showing them homes.
