Get to Know Suzanne Williams

I am a full-time realtor, specializing in the Hickory Unifour area which includes Hickory, Lenoir, Granite Falls, Bethlehem, Newton & Conover. I have earned the GRI certification, a designation that fewer than 20% of real estate agents have achieved. The certification required 90 hours of education above and beyond the mandatory update course required each year. I believe in being a life-long learner and staying a step ahead in order to offer my clients the best service possible.

I have been a resident of Hickory since 1989. I moved here from Florida with my husband, Todd, when he decided on Hickory as the location for his medical practice in podiatry. His brother was a physician at Graystone Ophthalmology and had told us about the area and how happy they were here. We  have been very happy with our decision to move to Hickory! Our three children have enjoyed growing up in this family-friendly town, participating in the city sports programs, music schools and outdoor recreational facilities.

I am a professional flutist as well as a realtor. I have found Hickory to be rich in the arts and have involved myself as a teacher with the Suzuki School of the Arts, a performer with the Western Piedmont Chamber Orchestra, a member of the celtic band, Puddingstone, and other freelance opportunities that have enriched my life. I thoroughly enjoy the other arts organizations in our community as well - the wonderful Hickory Community Theatre, the Hickory Choral Society, Hickory Art Museum and the many festivals our city sponsors.

A note about my logo....My dad was an amateur painter. His preferred medium was oil or acrylic. He favored an abstract style, with lots of texture. One of his favorite subjects was houses. He painted cityscapes, country cottages, fishing shacks, mountain houses, all kinds of houses. The banner for this web-site is created from one of his paintings. Sadly, he passed away in 1996, but I have a treasure in his paintings and I am inspired by them every day. I have to give my husband, Todd, credit. He's the one who thought I should use the paintings. I think it was an "inspired" idea.

Customized Marketing Plan - I will assess the market and your home and will provide you with  the best strategy for selling your home quickly and for the most money. It is crucial that you, as a seller, are educated in the current state of the market. The right price can mean the difference between a quick sale and a home that lanquishes on the market. We will study comparable sold properties,  property histories, statistics regarding the "list to sold" percentages,  what is currently for sale in your area, and more. All of that information will help us determine the right listing price for your home. I will employ the latest technology in marketing your home, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc., as well as the tried and true - postcards, flyers, signs and open houses.

FOR BUYERS:

I will be accessible. Phone calls or e-mails are returned in a timely manner and of course will be available through my mobile phone, which receives e-mails and text messages and also has the capability to surf the web and access the MLS. I will personally check, everyday, for new listings or price reductions and contact you when they appear, making appropriate comments, comparisons, and evaluations -  something an automated system cannot do.

I will be a tireless advocate for you.  I know the market and I will advise you about what a house is worth in today's economic climate, while listening carefully to your wants and needs. I can direct you to mortage lenders, contractors, home inspectors and attorneys with whom I have trust based on previous successful transactions.
