I am origninally from Maryland. I moved to Florida, where I got into construciton work while going to college to become a medical secretary. After I completed my classes, I loved the construcion work I was doing. I spent five years traveling the Southeast with a construction company, where I slowly moved up to Superintendant in charge of Construction. After being injured on the job,and being told that I would no longer be able to do the work I was doing, I moved back to Maryland where I began doing construction and geotechnical inspections. I also became HMA Certified and did inspections on state highway paving jobs. Durring the off season, I began doing medical billing for one of our areas top cardiologist. Within two years of begining the medical billing, we found out my husband has a heart and kidney condition. His construction work was wearing him down quickly and he was advised to rethink his work. In the mean time I began doing medical billing for another company. This company had me doing the medical billing from my home, instead of from the office. So after my husband being hospitalized, I decided something needed to change.

We began looking around the West Virginia area, when we drove thru the North Central area of West Virginia, we loved it, and so we moved to Philippi, WV. Durring our move I met a home inspector, who upon learning of my construction background suggested I check into becoming a home inspector. So I did. My husband no longer works, and the cardiologist informed us on our last visit, that what ever we are doing, keep doing it. His condition has improved to a point that the doctor can no longer pick up on his condition, which means he may never need surgery to replace three valves. His kidney is another story though.

So I have put all of my past inspection experience together with what I learned, and I intend to be become one of the areas best home inspectors. I have always prided myself by doing more that what was expected of me, and I will provide this same quality when performing home inspections.
