I am a senior who loves helping other seniors. That is why I became a Reverse Mortgage Specialist over 8+ years ago. I am licensed to assist senior homeowners (62 and older) in MI and VA. I teach seniors how to convert home equity into cash in order to fund their longevity and preserve assets.. I am a retired GM member of management and an ex Army officer, having graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. I married my high school sweetheart. We have 3 adult married children and 9 grand kids.
I am a master marathon runner, having completed 25 marathons, including 4 at the grand daddy of them all -the Boston Marathon.
I like to write poetry for my wife, who is poetry herself in motion. I enjoy music, movies and reading books- both truth and fiction.
I specialize in helping senior homeowners (62 and older) as a Branch Manager and Reverse Mortgage Specialist for American Advisors Group (AAG). ( You have probably seen the Fred Thompson TV ads). I am licensed in Michigan and Virginia.
I have found most seniors want to remain in their homes, age in place, and therefore I assist them through the HECM/FHA insured program to accomplish that goal, if they are qualified. For seniors who want to "rightsize", one such program is the HECM for Purchase Program that allows seniors to use some of the equity from the sale of a previous home, and with only one initial down payment, buy their dream home in one transaction, with NO monthly mortgage payments for as long as they live in the home.
"Rightsize" can mean a smaller, lower maintenance home, or a home closer to family or friends, or to lower their cost of living during retirement ,or simply enjoy carefree living in a senior housing community.
