Born and raised in Kansas City, I find myself partial to the midwest. With its centralized geographic location, I believe Kansas City is the prime spot for any business.
I specialize in commercial real estate sales, leasing, tenant representation, multi-unit housing and investment services. I am also an active real estate investor.
My family and I are active members of Westside Family Church, and my wife and I also lead a life group in our neighborhood. Ministry is a key component in my family's life.
I have been in sales and business development for the past 10 years. Prior to sales I was working in the basic sciences studying reproductive physiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and heart disease at the University of Minnesota. Before this, I tossed pizzas at Oak Park Mall.
My sales career started in Minneapolis. While working in the lab at the U of M, I had a baby on the way and I knew I didn't want to look through a microscope for the rest of my life, so I began a computer hardware distribution business. The University of Minnesota was my first client. From there I picked up the US Department of Defense, several smaller firms, and large computer companies. I parlayed this into a business of IT consulting for companies and post merger integration. I next was appoached by an overseas company to help them establish a foothold in the US market for their software systems. This led to a career in the Healthcare IT sector which led to more... Wanting to get out of the IT sales side and spend more time coaching my children's sports, I turned down an offer from a Fortune 500 in Kansas City to lead a new business unit, and went into real estate never looking back.
I love working with people, getting to know new people and filling a need that has not yet been met for them. I try and bring a fresh perspective to real estate, meeting people, not with dollar signs in my eyes, but a sincerity to get to know them as people, then helping them through their real estate issues. Being a business person myself, I find it easy to put myself in my clients shoes, discover what needs are to be met, and how to come up with a solution to meet those needs.
I coach my son in little league football, baseball, & basketball, as well as my daughter's soccer. If I knew anything about gymnastics, I would coach my little girl in that too, however I leave that to the professionals for now.
Retail, office and industrial real estate, 1031 exchanges, and multi-unit housing. New projects we are taking on are converting apartment buildings on or near the Plaza to condos and helping other investors locate similar projects.
