Family - it is the reason I am the way I am. Born in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, raised in Charleston, SC - I playfully call myself a "half breed". As many know the attitudes, personalities, opinions and communication styles vary from region to region. Growing up with a Northern father and Southern mother has given me a unique set of skills when dealing with people. On top of personality insights, my parents owned small businesses my whole life. Think I made my first sale around 7 years old! From an early age I understood the importance of hard work, dedication and integrity. In addition my family has a strong military background; every man in my family has served. They continue to remind me of the importance of commitment, discipline, endurance and most important, loyalty.
As for the "resume-like" details: Attended the College of Charleston and have a BA in Corporate Communication/Minor in History. Relocated to Savannah, GA in 2005 to help start up a new division for the national homebuilder I worked for at the time. Have made the move to a local homebuilder to allow for more flexibility, namely the opportunity to work in general brokerage.
I believe in The Golden Rule and aim to be a credit to my profession everyday.
New homes is where I've spent my career thus far. I have definite opinions on what constitutes "good construction". Not every house is equal. Basing a buying decision on the lowest price per square foot is not wise. It is an easy factor to use but incomplete. My specialty is helping buyers look at the big picture. Together we can evaluate included features, community attributes, builder's customer service reputation, etc. It is in those areas that true value and investment is found.
I wear two hats, on-site agent for a local builder and general brokerage agent. If you want to consider new homes I start with my preferred builder. If they do not have a home that works for your needs, we continue the search elsewhere. It's that simple.
I've had a great deal of experience with relocation buyers. Technology has come a long way; there is so much we can do now long distance. Just because you are not physically in Savannah, GA does not mean home shopping is impossible. For example, I once helped a family where husband and wife were deployed to Iraq. They were being stationed in Savannah, GA upon return to the States. We did everything over the phone, email, internet and mail. Picked out the home, home site, exterior & interior selections, built the home and had it ready upon their arrival. We kept them up-to-date on every change happening to the home, to help keep them connected to the process despite the distance. Anything is possible!
