I am first and foremost, a mother and grandmother. My daughters and grandchildren are my world. I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. Alaska will always be home, but I don't miss it! Cold, dark winters... 

I volunteer at a local wildlife rescue- during the spring and summer, I specialize in raising baby wild birds for release. I am apparently now known as "The Bird Lady" in my neighborhood! I love all animals- have 2 large dogs, 3 cats, and 4 rescue rats (they were supposed to be food for an eagle, but he didn't want them!). This is the first time is probably 25 years that I have not owned a personal horse- I sold my mare about a year ago. I had rescued her from the slaughter truck. She is the lucky mount to an amazing teenage girl who adores her.

I donate a percentage of all my commissions to various animal welfare/rescue groups. I try to choose the "little guy" charities. It is my way of giving something back.
