| Following 23 years at 530 Bellmore Way in Pasadena CA we made the tough decision to sell our home and relocate closer to one of our children & her family , including our grandsons in Granite Bay CA. At 75 years of age the decision was tough on one level yet timely on another. We made Bellmore way "our way" over the years and we are quite certain the new owners will make changes in line with their tastes. We were connected with Jason & Laura Berns ( The Berns team ) through our Kellar Williams sales associate Debbie Austin in Granite Bay . Debbie was best in class and to no surprise so was the Berns Team. We chose to sell / list "off market" as we wished to avoid MLS . It was our choice to do so. We also wanted to start and end escrow very quickly with approximately two weeks of rent back enabling us to pack up and move out. We owned our new home outright in Granite Bay at the time of listing. The Berns team did a superb job on all elements of the sale. Their ability to message & keep us informed about every aspect of our transaction was superb. To be fair , some messaging isn't what a seller might want to hear but it has to be communicated. They consistently explained the pros , cons, our options and recommendations on every point. Even though we sold off market, pre work including professional photos were completed to list MLS if needed. They left nothing to chance . The sales process of a home can take major twists and turns . After all, both buyers and sellers have a lot on the line. This sale was no exception and this is when you want professionals in your corner. We were united at the hip with them with respect to go/no go and it made for a smooth soft landing. I can't emphasize this point enough. Escrow & exit from the property closed as per the contract and we were on our way. Thank you Berns Team. | I wish I could give them 10 stars! Laura, Jason and their outstanding team were a Godsend for us and exceeded all our expectations. We had been trying to sell our duplex for 2 months, starting in August, with another agent, and it was not going well at all. The market was changing due to interest rates going up but there was still low inventory over all. Our listing was not well promoted, open houses were poorly attended, we had one deal fall out of escrow and another offer fizzle out. Then, by complete chance, I saw an old friend at a get together that had just used the Berns Team to sell their property and told me what an amazing experience she had. The very next day we called Laura and she was ready and willing to help us out. Laura and Jason met with us the next week, explained their selling strategy and how they prepare the property for sale. They had a proven track record and we were very excited to work with them. It was a tight turn around once we moved out, but they did it! They recommend some cosmetic improvements and staged our property beautifully. They worked with our tenant to make sure the process went as smoothly as possible. With their proven strategy, and in a challenging real estate market, they got us multiple offers and worked well with the buyer's agent as the contingencies were satisfied during escrow. Save yourself the heartaches and aggravation of using anyone else BUT the Berns Team. They are not only professional, and experts in real estate, they are kind, sincere and compassionate.
