Living in Alaska is amazing!  There is only one road system in the state, so flying opens up much more of the state.  My husband, Dick and I enjoy flying our super cub.  We go to different lodges to meet up with friends or just to have a burger for lunch.  Flying around is truly a blast!  Alaska has the biggest small plane population per capita in the US, which makes flying a very popular mode of transportation.  The biggest benefits of flying are the spectacular views.  My favorite place to fly is Lake George.  It's only 35 minutes from our house and the views of the lake and glaciers are amazing.  Since Alaska is the land of the Midnight Sun, we enjoy taking late flights with the benefit of a full day light even at 11:00 PM or later.  The winter in the greater Anchorage area has around 5 hours of day light and we snow machine in awsome areas every chance we get.  There are any number of sports to be involved in year around .  We enjoy a number of them.

Alaska provides a harmonious spirit.   The residents of Alaska have a spirit unlike most places.  It's really great camaraderie.   It's people looking out for each other and embracing their neighbors.   The people factor has truly made Alaska home.

My family consists of my husband Dick, two boys Rich and Tony and two girls Jeni and Anna.  Anna,  our youngest is at Carroll College in Helena, Montana in the city I grew up in!  Dick and I live at Mirror Lake with our Golden Retriever "KayCee", Cocker Spaniel "Lily" and twin (but not identical) cats, "Molly and Yoda".   We enjoy spending time at our cabin on Clear Creek.  The only way in is by Four Wheelers or by boat during summer and the winter requires snow machines.   I appreciate the drive every time we go up there.  The views of Mt. McKinkley are incredible.

I visit my Mom in my hometown of Helena Montana as often as I can. We also spend time in Molokai Hawaii almost every winter.   Since January doesn't have too much daylight  it's the perfect opportunity to spend a little time in Molokai.  We miss the amazing Northern Lights, but the time spent in the warm Hawaiian Islands is time I cherish and look forward to every year.
