About Me...In a nutshell, I have over ten years experience working for myself and I essentially consider myself an entrepreneur. I was born in Los Angeles, but I grew up in the Midwest and have that Midwestern work ethic engrained in my blood from my family. I have worked in the advertising/entertainment industry and pride myself on my communication and negotiation skills. I single handedly started a model and talent agency in Indianapolis in 2000 which grew to a successful business with over 500 models and talent, and nationwide clients. During this time of growing my business I learned a lot of great skills that I apply to my real estate career like negotiating contracts, communicating to all parties, (then communicating again!,) understanding a client's needs and then conveying those needs to a particular project, marketing on the internet and copy, making deadlines, and learning how to handle multiple tasks at once.
I worked as a single Mom with no family in state and decided I was ready to move to back to California to be closer to my family and to get back to the beautiful weather and sunshine. I sold my business in January of 2005 and decided that real estate was the career path to which I wanted to commit. I work in producing and casting films occasionally and volunteer at the local film festival every year as well, but real estate is my full time "gig" as we call it.
I have a whole blog available that describes a lot about me, where I grew up, what kind of family I have, and how I ended up working in real estate. Yes, the market has changed! It seems to be changing on a monthly basis. If you are looking for an agent who stays up to date on the latest market current, then you've found your agent!
In the fall of 2007 the real estate market took a terrible dive when our stated income loans went away. I saw the writing on the wall and decided to educate myself on bank owned and short sale properties. Since that time I have been able to successfully list and sell these types of properties.
In addition to those types of properties (which unfortunately seem to be a majority in our current market), I also am experienced in selling luxury properties and land as well.
