Get to Know Steve Bensinger
I have been a top-producing mortgage loan officer since 1993. I recently joined Guaranteed Rate (March 2015), so I could expand my business to Southwest Michigan. In August 2015 opened an office in Holland, MI.
I work exclusively on a referral basis and my business partners include: Realtors, CPA's, CFP's, Real Estate Attorneys, Divorce Attorneys, Estate Planners and HR Department Heads. Referring a client is a matter of trust. My partners appreciate that I not only take care of their clients, but keep all parties informed throughout the process - in order to ensure a smooth closing. | In April 2009 I was looking to refinance my condominium to take advantage of historically low interest rates. I initially went through several avenues in exploring the best program for my needs. First I tried the existing mortgage company which also happened to be my primary bank at which I held deposits (they barely would return my calls). I then searched the internet for various terms and programs from miscellaneous lenders. In addition I also spoke with a smaller local bank that had what appeared to be some good rates. At the "end of the day" none of these options appeared to offer me best combination of great terms, customer service and confidence in their execution to actually deliver what they said. On a whim I asked one of my friends for a referral and he referred me to Mr. Steve Bensinger at Charter One who he highly recommended. To make a long story short, Steve was fantastic. Not only did he offer me the lowest rate in combination with fair/low closing costs but he also was a complete expert and professional throughout the entire process. He never overpromised on things he later couldn't deliver. In addition he was able to immediately answer all my most difficult questions which put me at ease and gave him and Charter One more credibility in their ability to practice what they preached. He was very responsive throughout the process and later after the closing when I had additional questions he didn't blow me off but rather responded immediately as if I was still a new customer. In summary Steve is very professional, knowledgeable, assertive, reliable and credible and I highly recommend him. |
