What Do You Want In A Mortgage Professional?

  HONESTY & INTEGRITY- Do you need to know that your Loan officer is being honest with your clients, and that they have the integrity to make sure the client comes first?

 AVAILABILITY- Does your Loan Officer need to be flexible with their schedule? Do your Clients work full time and need to meet at a time when many would consider after hours? Do you expect your Loan Officer to bend to your client’s availability?

 KNOWLEDGE- Do you expect your Loan Officer to know their stuff? Do you want a Loan Officer with a track record?

  PROFESSIONAL- Do you expect your Loan Officer to be and act professional with your clients? Do you expect your Loan Officer to treat your clients with the same respect and professionalism that you do?

 HELPFUL- Some of your clients may have less knowledge/experience than others; do you expect your Loan Officer to treat those clients with a little extra patience, and to help them out a little more along the way?

 ATTEND YOUR CLOSINGS- Do you expect your Loan Officer to be at all your closings? It’s not your job to explain the loan program!

 RETURN PHONE CALLS- Do you expect your Loan Officer to answer their phone; or return messages promptly?

 COMMUNICATION- Do you expect to be notified if there is an issue with the loan? Unforeseen problems do arise; do you expect to be kept in the loop right away before it’s too late?

RECIPROCATE- Referrals should be a two way street; if you are sending your Loan Officer clients, do you expect to get clients in return?
