Heavily active in and around my hometown of Charlottesville, as well as the gorgeous Historic Staunton/Augusta, I am a member of two Associations. Our MLS services a broad base of Virginia, from Harrisonburg, through Charlottesville, and even into Louisa County. Additionally, my creative internet marketing campaign helps us get noticed across the globe. From farms and estates, to city homes in either region, I can help.

| Shannon Harrington was a warm, professional, reassuring and pragmatic guide as I sold my house. The sale was plagued with frustrations that had nothing to do with Shannon (the mysteries of human psychology and some flakey buyers) and she was reassuring and steadfast through out. Shannon and her team were always available. I felt like my sale, and business, and well being, were important and well cared for. Selling this house was a long road. It had been on the market two times before I connected with Shannon, and the positive difference in my experience with her, versus other attempts to sell, was clear. In addition to being a wonderful real estate agent, she's rebuilding/restoring beautiful old homes in Staunton, Va. Her knowledge of renovation work when buying a home that has been gutted, renovated and flipped -- like so many homes in downtown Charlottesville -- is priceless. | Shannon, I want to add my voice to the chorus of your satisfied clients. I have to be one of the biggest procrastinators in the world, which left me with the house I lived in while doing my doctorate, years after my doctorate was finished and I had moved on. From prior unpleasant experiences that neighbors and friends had with real estate transactions gone awry, I was very reluctant to sell my house. On top of that, it needed all sorts of work that I just did not want to do. I wanted to sell my house "As Is" and still get a fair market price for it. Living 700 miles away, in Florida, didn't help any. Could I trust a realtor I had never even met to meet my demanding conditions for sale? Obviously. In less than 4 months, in a real estate market gone south, you delivered the buyer, worked through the difficult process of negotiations, and met my criteria for a successful transaction. You went way beyond the pale to make it all work, sold the house, and helped me find a lawyer to handle the closing. | First of all, I would not now own a house without Shannon Harrington. I had become discouraged with housing prices, and being an artist, thought my income would never suffice to get a loan. My requirements in a house were rather unique too, as I was looking for a home with space for a workshop/art studio, livable but in need of fixing up, where I could apply my contracting skills to add value to it. So it was only after Shannon assured me that there were such properties in my income range that I began to take a serious look at purchasing a house. Shannon really understood my unique requirements for a house. She found me the perfect one and helped me put it under contract, though there were others who put in bids on it. Because of her persistence, that property is the house I now own. Honestly, I never thought I’d own a house in Charlottesville, and in addition to closing with over $50K in equity on the property, I am now paying less in mortgage payments than I was in rent for an apartment half the size.
