I am a native North Carolinian growing up outside of Henderson, NC which is about 40 miles north of Raleigh. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1974 I hung around Chapel Hill for several more years, going back to school to take courses which would qualify me to sit for the CPA exam, working as accountant for the local newspaper. I passed the CPA exam in 1982 and soon thereafter moved to Raleigh to be closer to my new job. After working as an accountant for several small businesses over the years (nearly 20) and moving to Durham when I got married in 1987, I started my career in real estate in late 1995.
Since becoming a Realtor, I have attained my GRI certificate as well as passing the NAR sponsored ePRO course. In addition I took 90 hours of classwork necessary to sit for the appraisal exam. I am currently one class away from becoming a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). I pride myself in a job well done, including putting clients interests first in any transaction.
