* Effective community leader, having held administrative positions with the Downtown Wadsworth Merchants' Association, Wadsworth Newcomers Club, Lincoln WHYS (a local PTO group) , and The American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life of Wadsworth".

* Active member of the OAR, NAR, Wadsworth Chamber of Commerce, Greater Akron Area Chamber of Commerce and the GAC's Knowledgeable Network of Women.

My passions are history and volunteerism. I volunteer regularly in the schools, and am the Event Coordinator of the 2010 and 2011 Wadsworth Relay For Life, an American Cancer Society fundraiser.

My wonderful husband of 13 years is an IT Professional and has served as Boy Scout Troop 402 Scoutmaster and WASA Soccer Assistant Coach.

I have four children who are students in the Wadsworth City School system, participating in band, WASA Soccer, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Save Ohio Strays, and on Wadsworth Relay For Life committees.

People who know me say I'm outgoing and organized, but I don't always see that in myself. I love chocolate. I'm pretty down-to-Earth. I recycle everything I get my hands on. I sometimes say "Dude!" a little too often when I get excited about something that I think is fairly awesome...and I'm always finding something new that I think is fairly awesome, much to the chagrin of those around me. And I tend to go grocery shopping without make-up...consider yourselves warned. ;)
