Ernie and Leah Gonzales love doing business and raising their family in Henderson NV. Leah and her parents relocated to Las Vegas in 1983. “My parents were spec home builders and in Real Estate in Washington State and when the Savings and Loans crashed Las Vegas was the logical place to move their business. Las Vegas in 1983 was booming and had lots of potential land to build on so it only made sense.” Said Leah. In 1989 Leah was a senior at Western High School (Go Warriors!!) when they moved to the Green Valley area of Henderson NV. Leah’s Mother was a Real Estate agent and saw the potential in Henderson and the master planned community of Green Valley. “It is hard to believe when I moved to Green Valley the 95 was just being extended into Henderson, the Galleria Mall was under construction and Horizon Ridge was just a dirt road” Leah exclaims. In 1995 Leah joined her parents real estate team. In 1999 Ernie received his real estate license and we started the Gonzales Team. In Leah and Ernie’s first year of Real Estate they listed and sold over 252 properties and in their second year they listed and sold over 492 properties. The Gonzales Team has utilized all of this experience to build a Real Estate team with systems in place to help their clients to get the most money, in the least amount of time with the least amount of hassle. The Gonzales Team follows the Platinum Rule by making the real estate transaction about the client not about the Gonzales Team. “That is why our slogan is Clients First” says Ernie.

Ernie has many awards however one of the awards he is most proud of is his Cultural Icon award through Keller Williams Realty. Each year at our Keller Williams Realty convention, Family Reunion, Mo Anderson Vice Chairman of the Keller Williams Board, awards only a handful of agents with the Cultural Icaon award out of over 100,000 agents. Ernie was nominated out of over 600 Keller Williams agents in the Henderson and Las Vegas NV area and won this award for his giving back to the community, agents in the office and client's.
Below is the nomination that the Leadership within Ernie's office wrote about his service.
This candidate for cultural icon exemplifies the word culture in all he does for the market center. He steps up to help anyone who passes through our doors. He has also been the driving force volunteering his own time to help build and design our new state of the art office. The help he gives is not limited to just real estate. He helps everyone with technology, Teaching E-Edge weekly, helping with compliance for Dot Loop, serving on the ALC, setting up agent’s computers and cell phones, building office furniture, to even the small stuff of carrying heavy boxes or taking out the trash for our DOFI. Several times he has even stepped up to help an associate by paying for dues, food or going to a class when they were short money. All of this is done with no expectations he just has a caring nature. This candidate is always the first to step up for anyone who is in need of help and all associates go to him first when they have questions because they know he will never turn them away, even if he doesn’t know the answer he will do everything to find it out for them. Every time we have a member of our Market Center sick or in the hospital he always goes to visit and hold their hand. He is the first to get the market center to send flowers and take care of associates in need. Everyone trusts him and loves him so much that they know when they need good advice he is where they turn.
Outside the market center this candidate exemplifies the KW Culture in all that he does. Not only would he give someone the shirt off of his back he makes sure that all people are ok. Many times we see him on the side of the road helping a complete stranger with their tire or battery. He volunteers for the Citizens Police Academy for Homeland Security taking part in many simulations to help in case of a state of emergency. He has been a board member for the National Association of Hispanic Realtors and Asian Real Estate Association of America helping Harry Reid to pass the law in the State of Nevada to give home owners 30 days to write an offer before an investor securing home ownership. He has served on the local Board of Realtors Grievance committee and Professional Standards Committee for several years. He has raised two wonderful children one of which is a step son who regards him as his own father because he has been such a positive male role model in his life.
Ernie Gonzales is the Vice President of the Nevada Chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals who are dedicated to helping Veterans with home ownership, military relocation and giving back to the local community of Veterans.
