Celebrating over 20 Years Inspecting New Hampshire Homes

                                                                   1992-2012

I was a general contractor in New Hampshire for over 25 years. Starting out in 1985 as a dry-waller I continued to grow my business through the years. During the early 1990S I added windows, decks, roofing, siding and doors to my list of installed building products. Some of the bigger projects I've worked on were, the State Liquor store on RT 95, the re-vitalization of Mariner's Village into Osprey Landing, Hawthorn Hill in Danvers Ma. as well as many other residential/commercial buildings. During the last decade I began to build custom additions, houses and garages.

My inspection career started in 1992 when I joined the Building Inspector of America as a sub-contractor. While working for the BIA I honed my inspecting skills and performed 100S of inspections including septic, well and water quality, radon and WDO. During this time, 1992, I started down the long path of continuing education. I completed the NRI school for home inspectors training. During the 1990s I completed several other courses and workshops pertaining to home inspection and residential construction.  In 2003 I decided to get some formal training to enhance my inspection skills and in 2004 I opened Russell Inspections Services.

Continuing education has always been a priority with me. In 2005 I completed the Inspection Training Institute for Certified Commercial Inspectors. In 2007 I complete my Certified Building Science Thermographer with the Infrared Training center. 2009 I completed the Building Analyst certification with the Building Performance Institute and finally in 2010 I went back to the Infrared Training Institute and earned the designation of Level I Thermographer. Along the way I have also earned certifications in septic inspections, weatherization techniques, Understanding residential and commercial energy codes, inspecting for structural problems and I am licensed as a home inspector by the State of New Hampshire, #57.

I am also recognized in The New Hampshire court system as an expert witness. I have testified on several occasions involving construction litigation cases, some in excess of 100K. My litigation work involves all the building components in a home from framing and roofing, plumbing, heating and building envelopes.
