Get to Know John Castillo
I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a BBA (Concentration Accounting). I enjoy spending time with my wife, 22 year old son, Jalin and 9 year old daughter, Jayna. In addition, I enjoy golfing, biking, swimming, running, basketball, football, softball, snowboarding and competing in triathlons. My proudest accomplishments have been completing several 1/2 marathons, the Lubbock 1/2 Ironman, and the Duke City Marathon. I have built a very successful business by working hard, being honest, and always doing what is best for my clients. By doing those three things I have built a very consistent and repeatable business through providing excellent customer service.

For the Last 16 years I have been in the top 10% of all Realtors nationwide. In Fact, for 2015 & 2014 I was ranked in the top 5 % of all Real Estate Brokers nationwide. My team has consistently sold over 300 homes for the last three years in a row. I have been able to accomplish such success by specializing in the entire Greater Albuquerque Area Real Estate market. I have grown my business from the ground up and I am just as happy working with First Time Home Buyer's/Seller's as I am working with Higher-End Buyer's/Seller's. I have a proven marketing plan for all price ranges and I am very familiar with the higher end market.
Another area of expertise for me other than the traditional re-sale residential market, is the REO arena. I currently am working with US Bank, Carrington Mortgage, US Marshals and Sage Acquisitions marketing REO assets across New Mexico. I have been a HUD listing broker in New Mexico on behalf of Sage Acquisitions, Pemco, Matt Martin, HomeTelos and Southwest Alliance since 2003, I am very experienced with all aspects of RE0's. I also continue to work with several other REO firms in the listing and marketing of their properties. This in turn has given me the ability to work with numerous buyers both owner occupant and investors. Our experience and knowledge has proven to be invaluable with helping them achieve their real estate goals.
In addition to the residential real estate market in Albuquerque, I also have a substantial amount of Commercial experience with Multi-Tenant Housing and Office properties. Being a CCIM candidate, I am continuing to increase my education so that I can better serve my commercial clients.
