Charlottesville, Virginia and Albemarle County are nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in one of the most beautiful areas of Central Virginia. I have been lucky to have lived almost all of my life in this very special area. I love sharing my knowledge of the Virginia countryside to help buyers find the perfect home. This area offers a community or country property to suit every taste and a variety of price ranges.
My personal business background includes real estate and the horse business....representing buyers and sellers of not only horses but also residential properties.... estates, homes, and luxury properties. In particular I enjoy my work with horse properties and farms, as well as golf properties. I must admit my own golf game is a work in progress.
Pam Dent has decades of experience in the representation of buyers and sellers of Central Virginia properties. To compliment her negotiating and contract skills on behalf of her clients, Pam continues to add industry and technical credentials to her long list of skills. Months of study and preparation earned her a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) certification. She is proud of her important e-PRO designation which is an Internet Specialist certification. As you know the majority of buyers begin their search for a home on line. As a seller this means that your property needs to be extensively marketed on line and you need a REALTOR with a major internet presence. In addition to print advertising that is targeted to the appropriate publication for your particular property, Pam advertises on numerous internet sites in order to expose your home to as many buyers as possible. In addition, Pam actively utilizes her family of personal websites and three blogs to keep a vital internet presence as well as extensive internet networking with other professionals across the country.
Pam was the 2011 president of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Womens Council of Realtors and is a 2016 Director of the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors.
Pam also has the SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designation. Attaining this designation required training in all aspects of transitions that the "50 and better" pre-retirement generation is going through. Whether it involves selling your home in order to downsize or buying a home in an "active 55" community, Pam has the knowledge and information to help you.
For many years Pam was a professional in the horse business: boarding, training and selling horses. This experience gave her a respect for the environment and a love for the rural nature of Central Virginia and a committment to preserving the natural beauty that makes Central Virginia such a special place in which to live. She has the specialized knowledge that makes her ideally suited to work with the equestrian buyer or to market your horse property.
If a situation arises that requires knowledge of foreclosures, in these complicated transactions it is important to have a real estate agent with the knowledge and experience to guide you through the process. Pam Dent has attained the industry SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource) designation, making her the perfect choice to help with your purchase of a foreclosed property.

Our move to Virginia was so much easier because Pam Dent helped to guide us through every step of the transaction. She let us know what to expect and she made sure that we were well aware of our options during our negotiations. On behalf of my whole family, we are pleased to let Pam know that we consider her to be not only our lifetime realtor but a new friend as well, and we don't hesitate to recommend her to our other friends. Pam's knowledge of Charlottesville homes and farms is impressive. |

Thank you so much for selling our house. During this process there were three things that I particularly liked about working with you: (1) You have great integrity. This is of prime importance to me and I always felt I could trust you in all our dealings. (2) You are quite conscientious. There were lots of details that needed attention and you were always on top of them. (3) You know real estate very well. I am happy to be a reference so I can tell others about you. |

Pam introduced us to areas north, south, east and west of Charlottesville in a successful hunt for our new location and home. She was responsive to our requests as we walked through the process of downsizing and relocating. Her professional relationship with the seller (Ryan Homes) was most helpful in instilling confidence in our selected direction of building a new home. From her list of favorite restaurants in the area to her availability to invest time showing us around, Pam was more than a real estate agent, she was a sales representative for the entire community. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend Pam to anyone relocating to, or within, the area. As a lifelong resident, her knowledge of local lifestyle and options is comprehensive. As a leader in the real estate industry, she has a mature, businesslike approach that engenders confidence in business dealings. |
