I am Mike Anderson, native of San Diego County, and active in the real estate market since 1983. I have been a full-time Realtor since 1994; my experience also includes real estate appraising and lending.
Living nearly my entire life in the area that I work gives me knowledge and insight that elevates me above the typical real estate agent. Being active in my community (such as Lakeside and East County Chambers of Commerce, 2008 Graduate of Leadership East County, coaching youth soccer and rugby) and in the East County Association of Realtors (Director, Chairman of Government Affairs Committee), keeps me on top of the trends, new laws, area schools, and other issues that are important to buyers and sellers. I believe in giving back to the community I live in, and I enjoy being a resource to many of my clients and friends not only for real estate-related issues, but for other problems, questions, or referrals not necessarily related to my own profession.
I look at the big picture during a real estate transaction, which is why my business consists mainly of repeat and referred clients. My work ethic directs me to work closely with clients, spending time necessary to answer questions, explain contracts and other documents, communicate frequently during a transaction, to negotiate aggresively yet fairly on behalf of my clients, and follow up once a deal has been completed. I've been rewarded for my efforts by clients responding with referrals and multiple transactions, sometimes immediately, and often years down the road!
In this difficult market, it's important to utilize the services of a Realtor that's got the experience and education working with buyers and sellers of short sales and foreclosed properties. I have the SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) and CHS (Certified HAFA Specialist) certifications to provide clients with the best service in distressed property sales, and the experience to guide buyers and sellers through these processes. I am also qualified to sell HUD-owned properties.
As my background also includes appraising and real estate lending, I can also assist clients with questions in these fields, have a higher ablility to estimate market value, and to deal with appraisers and lenders on common ground.
