Mercy has over 25 years of business experience in the areas of real estate, business
development and multi-cultural marketing. An entrepreneur herself, Mercy acquired the
rights for a real estate franchise in VA, MD and DC in 2009, and became the owner and CEO
of an independent real estate brokerage in 2010, Casals Realtors®. Her main goal is to lead a
real estate firm that empowers its well-educated agents to promote responsible
home ownership. She currently leads the MLS Home Team, a group of four real estate professionals with over 16 years of combined work experience.
She is a Certified Distressed Property Expert ®, a Virginia Housing Development Authority
Certified Instructor, and an active volunteer with non-profit housing organizations in
Northern Virginia. In her previous career as Director of Marketing, she helped launch and
develop national brands such as AOL Latino, DirecTV Más and Ameritech. She has an
Integrated Marketing Communications degree from Northwestern University, and a
Bachelors degree from Syracuse University. Throughout her career, Mercy has consistently
combined her marketing talent with her passion to mentor others to become business leaders,
and improve the lives of minorities in America.
