Hickory Real Estate Group was founded in 2010 by Mike and Kathleen Kelly. Mike and Kathleen had been working together as a team with a local large franchise firm and decided that it was time to go out on their own. Both Mike and Kathleen grew up in entrepreneurial families so it was a natural progression for them to strike out on their own.
Five years later Hickory Real Estate Group has grown into the top non-franchise real estate firm in the Hickory, Newton, Conover area with a focus on how to best serve their clients not just through their marketing but through the relationships formed with clients.
In the not too distant past it would have been unheard of to expect to be a major player in the local market without the backing of a major franchise but in todays market it is actually a help not being tied to a large company with its strict guidelines that do not always work in every market. Hickory Real Estate Group is able to be flexible to stay ahead of changes, adjust more quickly and therefore serving clients better.
Our goal is to provide our clients with a smooth buying and selling experience that is based heavily on maximizing the use of technology, open and honest communication, and expert negotiation.

| Mike was our seller's agent for a mountain house near Hickory, NC. Mike was very responsive, took great pictures, offered valuable advice and made inspection items a snap by coordinating the work so we didn't have to worry about a thing. His company has great tools that notified us of showings and allowed us to see the feedback provided by the buyers' agents. Mike was fantastic and made this experience very easy for us - highly recommend! |

| I would put anyone into Mikes hands because he is a gentlemen and a master at what is does. I feel in order to be good at anything we do in life we must love what we do ! Mike loves his job and deals with people with people very well. I am from mass and when I first spoke to mike about moving here he was very helpful in all ways . I asked him a million questions about everything and not only homes but everything in Hickory. I am a contractor and a carpenter so this was not going to be easy dealing with me because I was so fussy about what I wanted. Before I came to Hickory to look at houses I looked at hundreds and hundreds of houses and when I had questions or asked Mike to go and take some pics for me of certain things he always acted quickly for me. Mike has a sharp eye and pays attention to details which is very important to me.I was coming down for 1 week and I gave Mike a list of homes to see. Mike even took time from his family on a Sunday to make sure we saw all the houses we needed to see in that week and in that week we found a beautiful home at a great price. Mike even had people do to all the inspections for us and they were great people too. We bought the house in April 1 and moved in 1 week before school started. I would always recommend Hickory Real Estate Group to everyone because you would never go wrong with Mike !! |

| Mike is very knowledgeable, patient, and responsive. He helped us to find and reach an agreement on a home but unfortunately, the home simply had too many issues. Not only has he become our trusted realtor but a dear friend as well. We will keep searching Mike! |
