Get to Know Lynn Pilsner

Lynn grew up in Rockford, Illinois, where her parents taught her the values that continue to shape her life. They taught her to treat everyone as a special person and above all, listen to what they are saying. She's found that when you listen to people, you learn so much more. It's a simple philosophy that has served her well. She learned that the most important thing she could do was to make her life a benefit to others.

Taking her family's values to heart, Lynn started at a very young age trying to help others. At the age of 10, Lynn volunteered to work at a local children's home. They thanked her, but said that she was too young. Lynn never waivered. All through her school years, she was the person that everyone came to when they had a problem. She would listen to them and help any way she could.

After high school, Lynn attended college. She left after her sophmore year, to fullfill her childhood dream. She went to work at the children's home. She later returned to school to attend Wartburg College and received her degree in social work.

When her youngest child was ready to start school, Lynn chose a new career-real estate. She found that the keys to success were the same whether it was social work or real estate sales. Lynn still begins by listening to each client's unique needs, dreams, and desires. Because no two people have the same needs, she takes the time to understand what they want to accomplish before making any recommendations.

My Special Buyer Profile Computer Search

When we first talk, I'll be asking lots of questions about what you are looking for. Those are called wants (things you would like) and needs (things you must have). I will then enter your information into my computer for market data searching. Every 10-15 minutes, it will search every property on the market in the area you wish to live. When it finds a match, it will automatically send you and me) an e-mail with the property information. You will receive notification within minutes after a new property is listed. That is days or weeks before the general public and 3-5 weeks before it's in a real estate magazine.

Neighborhood Knowledge

I'll know the neighborhoods that you are considering or will find someone who does. I will identify comparable sales, and information on the schools, shopping, crime, demographics, and other things you feel are important.

Appropriate Houses to Consider

I'll look for what you want and can afford in the area you want to live. I'll show you all the homes that are available not just the ones that I have listed. I will look for homes that are not yet on the market. I will work hard to find your new home and understand that finding a house for you to call a "home" is both of our prioritys.

Listing Homes

I love listing homes and working with sellers because of this I wanted to have more resources and knowledge so I decided to continue my education. The Residential Specialist (RS) was the way that I could do this. Only one in every 20 Realtors have this advanced training, experience, and commitment to call themselves a CRS.

I view my role as the marketing coordinator. In this role I will manage the sale to maximize promotional efforts, represent the sellers interest, and to use my expertise to make the transaction go smooth from our first meeting to shaking hands at the closing table.

At the time I initially meet the seller I am able to present a Action Plan, as to what I plan to do to get their house sold fast, for more money, and as stressfree as possible. At the time I list the home I also provide a special service of Merchandising the home, these homes always sell faster because they look so much better than the average listing.

Education Accomplishements

Education includes a BS degree in social work, and counseling.  Brokers license, Residential Specialist, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, and a Relocation Specialist. Several committees including: Professional Standards, Grievance Committee, MLS, Director on the Rock Green Board of Directors, Red Cross, RPAC,Entertainment, and various community groups.  I have a strong belief in my church, and have been on church council a number of years. Presently I am also involved in Love Inc., a great organization to help others.I am so excited I just got my Accredited Staging Professional designation. This is going to give me so much more knowlege and ability to teach my clients the benefits of staging their home through my system and skills.Interests/HobbiesI love the outdoors. Camping, boating, hiking, biking and fishing are probably my favorites, espcially if it involves spending time with my family.Traveling to different places and exploring new things, and meeting new people is also one of my favorites. Additional CommentsRespect by not only my customers, but also my colleagues is my greastest pride.
