The design studio was launched in response to the growing demand of property developers, builders, investors, and real estate agents who enjoyed the increased success that that resulted when Lisa's honest and constructive feedback and interior design expertise was combined with home staging.
After completing a formal interior design education, Lisa Lucas began her career in commercial interior design creating office environments for a large variety of corporate clients. She earned the respect of many of the area's top real estate agents and home builders after transforming hundreds of properties while working as a principal designer for one of Seattle's largest staging companies.
Unlike traditional interior design, our choices are targeted to the buying demographic for that property rather than the personal tastes of the homeowner. With so many choices, we can help clients avoid costly mistakes by providing the right warm neutral and rich accent paint colors for both interior and exteriors. Suggestions for carpet, lighting, and cabinet hardware are selected specifically for the style of the home and desired price point. A designer will tour the property and follow-up with a written report detailing what changes can be made in suggested prioritized order.
Staging greatly improves the appeal of a property, makes it more memorable, and visually reinforces to buyers that the property is being marketed competitively and expects to sell quickly for full price. Less than 10% of buyers can visualize furniture placement in an empty room. Furnishings not only define the use of the room but also are selected with color, scale, and style of the home in mind to help maximize the floor plan and play up key features of the home. We not only create interiors that will broaden the appeal of the property but also select furnishings and accessories that will appeal to the target buying demographic for that property. We highlight the attributes of a home while minimizing the flaws with the right furnishings. Buyers more quickly establish an emotional connection with the home which results in higher initial offers.
