Get to Know Sarah Cain

Although born in Texas, I was raised in Wilmington and lived in the Wilmington area for 27 years.  I grew up visiting Hampstead and Topsail Island, and fell in love with the area.  So, my husband and I sold our home in town and decided to build and make our home in Hampstead. Hampstead is such a charming place and we enjoy day trips to Topsail.  Over the past year, we have invested in property in Surf City and Topsail Island and have helped others grow their investment portfolio at other local beaches.

In March of 2006, I decided to take a leap of faith and work with my husband, Daniel, at American Home Mortgage.  I am proud to say that I am working with one of the nation's fastest growing mortgage lenders.  I have been lending for over 6 years and formerly worked with a local bank.  My banking career introduced me to residential, consumer, and business lending- but it's my clients that I enjoy working with and helping them through one of life's most important decisions.

I am a graduate of the Cameron School of Business at UNC-Wilmington with a degree in Finance and a Masters in Business Administration.  I currently serve as the President of the UNCW Cameron School of Business Alumni Chapter, board member of the Lower Cape Fear Family Services, and volunteer with Cape Fear Junior Achievement.

My hobbies include:  my yellow lab, Jack, boating, reading, investing in real estate, volunteering, and UNCW Basketball.
