I took the above photo on one of my early morning walks around our beautiful farm in Halifax County, N.C. The quote below it describes how I feel about life - eager and ready to start each day anew! This eagerness and optimism is what I feel makes me a good real estate agent.
Having just come into the worst real estate market in over 40 years as a new agent, it has taken ALOT MORE eagerness and optimism for me not to get discouraged, but because of it, I have also been thriving as a new agent. This business presents so many unique opportunities to meet and help clients, and that is one reason I love it so much!
Its true that agents who have been in the business may have more experience, but because I am a new agent, I find I work even harder and more diligently to do a good job for my clients. I have completed all my post licensing requirements ( 3 years ahead of schedule!), and I am continuously learning from my broker in charge, as well as other seasoned agents. I was born and raised in Rocky Mount, and am very familiar with the surrounding areas.
Most importantly, when I became a new agent, I asked God to be my partner, and He has blessed my business beyond my wildest dreams. I depend on Him to guide me in my career, and pray for all my clients in each real estate transaction I'm involved in. I conduct myself respectfully and fairly with not only my clients, but other agents, as well. I cannot be responsible for how others act, but I can control my actions, and I try to maintain the highest level of professionalism possible with everyone I meet, no matter what walk of life they come from. Most of all, I try to have fun every day as a real estate agent, whether its showing a pig and poultry farm or a million dollar mansion!
And at the end of the day, I can' wait to get up in the morning, see that beautiful sunrise, and do what I love all over again the next day! If you're looking for an enthusiastic and eager real estate agent, you found her!!

I love helping first time homebuyers realize their dream of home ownership. I remember how overwhelming everything was when my husband and I bought our first home, and my heart really goes out to someone who's never been through it - especially in THIS market! But that's where I feel my expertise lies because I HAVE been through it and I can sympathize with what they are going through. And because there is SO MUCH paperwork involved, and decisions to be made, I feel like they really need someone who can take charge, calm their fears, and lead them through the process with as little stress as possible.
And ironically, I learn so much more from first time homebuyers because they ask SO MANY more questions! I find I am researching alot more information for my first time buyer clients, and in turn, learn so much more about this business - which only makes me a better, more informed agent! I welcome first time homebuyers to call me if they are looking for someone who will be patient and lead them through their first homebuying experience with knowledge and professionalism. I prepare all my first time homebuyers with a packet of useful information about buying their first home, and spend as much time as needed to answer their questions and help them feel at ease about the whole process.
It is such a rewarding and heartwarming feeling to know that I really can help make "dreams come true" in this business!
