Get to Know Ken Libby
I have been a member of the Vermont Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS(R) since the early 1980's, serve as their President in 2000 and was their REALTOR(R) of the Year in 2000 & 2003. I served our state as President in 2003 and was the state REALTOR(R) of the Year in 2003. In 2006 I was the (NAR) National Association of REALTORS(R) chairman for their Resort & 2nd Homes Committee and in 2007 I am the NAR Regional Vice President for Region 1 (New England).
I was one the original member of the Real Estate Cyberspace Society (RECS), earned my ePro designation many years aso, am a certified TRC, an international cerification earned by taking education classes about world real estate and I am also a certified RSPS (Resort& Second Homes Property Specialist) member.
I was Chief of Police in Stowe for 17 yrs. and retired in 1992, was the founding President of the Stowe Rescue Squad, coached high school boys basketball & girls softball for over a decade, winning a couple of state championships, was the Founding President of the Mount Mansfield Academy, a winter ski school for gifted skiers, served as an elected member of the Board of Selectmen and have been a registered lobbyist to the state legislature most years since 1973.
Certifications
My main area of expertise is the commercial market, in particular lodging & hospitality properties, restaurants, convenience stores and multi-family housing. Our office also lists & sells high end homes, some ski in & ski out, as well as all residential homes in our 10 town area. My commercial area is all of Vermont and I ahve been involved in transactions all over the state. Because of my committee chair position on the national level I have contacts all over the world and frequently will refer a client to an agent out of state or will receive a referral from one of them.
We are also one of the leaders in the Stowe market in rental property leasing & management.
