Get to Know Kelly DeLucia

Having lived and traveled all over the country I know the difference between a house and a home. Whether you are buying or selling, I know that your home is precious to you and I want to make your experience as forgettable as possible. Yes I said FORGETTABLE. I had a very special agent handle the purchase of my first home and I hardly remember any of the process! That's because she took care of everything for me and made it a flawless, "forgettable" buying experience. You can be sure I remember the superior service though! I believe that YOU deserve to have a buying or selling experience like mine, remembering the great service and forgetting all the stress.

In this market, sellers really need to do the work to make their house stand out from the competition. Staging is an absolute must and can often be done well with the things you already own. Hiring an agent that can really stage (not just de-clutter) is like getting a two-for-one deal!! I grew up in a family of entrepreneurial Interior Designers and learned early on how to stage a home to SELL. That fantastic agent who set the standard for me (mentioned above) also trained me for years on how to decorate and stage homes to look attractive. My Mother left some big shoes to fill but I can truly say I learned from the best!

Background
I was born and raised in Hampton Roads but spent 16 yrs in the mid-west and west coast following career opportunities to coach and play soccer professionally. During that time I graduated from Indiana University and later earned a graduate degree from California State University, Fresno receiving special awards for my graduate thesis (published in 2008). I returned to the area in Jan 2006 to be near my family and live in the only place that has ever truly felt like home.

Hobbies
I am the Founder of the AIM for Excellence Foundation provieds youth sports instruction and raises money for disadvantaged kids to attend sports camps and clinics. Clearly, I am a work-a-holic! I spend most of my free time with my family and my assistant coaches: Daisy the Goldendoodle and Finnegan the Labradoodle.
