I am the Broker in Charge of the List Sotheby's International Realty office located in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Our real estate office is in the Hawaii Kai area (East Oahu). We predominately service the areas of Hawaii Kai, Diamond Head, Waikiki, all areas of Honolulu, Kaneohe and Kailua. I also represent buyers and sellers on the island of Maui which was my home for many years. Prior to selling real estate, I freelanced as a paralegal and legal assistant in Southern California. I worked for attorneys that handled high profile real estate cases. I represent buyers and sellers in luxury homes, investments, second homes, first time homebuyers and even short sales. I have also bought and sold my own properties for investment purposes and primary residences so I have first hand knowledge of what my buyers and sellers personally experience during a transaction. I am very hands on and work with my clients through every aspect of the transactions - - from referring lenders to signing at escrow. We are a boutique style office (formally Casey & Associates) with a store front location in the Koko Marina Shopping Center in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu.
My expertise is in high end luxury homes, however, I do not limit myself to that area. If someone wants me to help them buy or sell a home - - no matter what price range it is in, I will do my best to represent them. I am experienced in representing buyers and sellers for luxury homes, oceanfront and beach front homes, second or investment properties, first time homebuyers, whether its homes, condos, land or event condo-tels. I also represent sellers in short sales and distressed property situations.

| We did not know Karla Casey until I contacted her from the mainland to help us with the purchase of a short sale. We wanted somebody with experience and Karla went beyond the extra mile for us. For eight months, Karla took us by the hand and guided us through this process. Our transaction was extremely difficult and if it would not have been for her, we would have never gotten our beautiful home on the north shore, sitting on an acre lot with a fantastic ocean view. | Karla was recommended to us from a friend who was very happy with his house purchase in Honolulu, he said she was great. Having bought/sold over 15 homes over the years, I was a bit more apprehensive. WOW, I was knocked off my feet by her total package - experienced, very well versed in HI and the unique realty environment, and honest, on time and fun to work with. My wife and I started off looking at rentals, as we will only be here a few years. One day of looking convinced us we should buy vice rent. Karla was just as helpful when we were looking to rent, so motivation was actually helping Liz and I make the right choices for us. A whirlwind trip in Dec led us to several offers, and we finally ended up buying our great sky condo high above the harbor and city. The closing was difficult, but Karla went the extra miles needed to make sure we were well treated. She found us the bank and also an excellent handyman to do some remodeling before we moved into the home. She is the best realtor we have dealt with. Anyone lucky enough to get a referral to Karla will be writing a glowing report when they complete their purchase. We are happily unpacking, many thanks to Karla and her very helpful staff. | We arrived new to Maui and walked into a local real estate agency and Karla was the only one who approached us, and actually after we had already walked out. She worked with us for many months, as during the hot market we didn't know whether to buy or build. After we decided to build she set us up with a great builder and actually help us design the house we still live in. We couldn't be more happy. Honesty is a big deal with us and we must say Karla is a person we trust with any real estate action we might take. We would highly recommend her for any real estate need you have in Hawaii. |
